Momento Accelerator (MAX) is a smart gateway that sits in front of S3, augmenting it with intelligence, resilience, and speed.
MAX does this by adaptively caching data and manipulating traffic to deliver faster responses while shielding your storage layer. Incoming requests are automatically and transparently optimized to reduce load.
For advanced use cases, extend your existing data protocols and APIs with ready-made operators or custom functions to authorize, validate, and transform requests.

Serve data before it's written to S3
MAX for S3 includes a write-through cache, which means that active data is stored with strong consistency in the distributed caching layer.
Newly-written data is immediately flushed to S3, but it can take hundreds of milliseconds to finish writing the new object. During this time, requests can still be served – because the data is already held in the caching layer!
This low-latency buffer is a critical component for high-performance workloads on S3. The write-through caching layer keeps time-to-first-byte under 10ms, reduces the number of API calls to S3, and absorbs bursts that exceed S3 API limits.
